Original Artwork

As a mixed media artist, I love using “found” materials!  They give me the freedom to fully express the “crazy” within me. I tend to weave my passions into my creations, especially repurposing strange and odd materials not seen in art — such as rice paper (think spring rolls), lucky red envelopes, metal sheets, fabric scraps, or retired climbing rope. Most of my paint comes from the Hazardous Waste Center in Boulder, CO, some supplies from Art Parts Creative Reuse Center, and other materials from various thrifting sources. All my artwork have some element of reuse, repurpose, and/or recycle.

Subjects I choose come from life adventures, my heritage, mystical tales, and nature — with twists and turns from my imagination. These tend to reflect precious memories and aspects of life philosophies.

In addition, I love collaborating with other artists, especially those uniquely different from my style. I believe in building trusting bridges between unknown worlds, to find common ground which connects us all. These art pieces bring various artists’ perspectives to light — sometimes giving contrast and other times complimenting each other.
